Ottawa, October 11, 2016 – The Réseau de développement économique et d’employabilité (RDÉE Canada) and its member organizations are proud to present the second Virtual Job Fair (VJF), scheduled for February 22 and 23, 2017. RDÉE Canada is repeating this initiative because of the great success of the 2016 edition, which drew almost 8,000 visitors and about thirty businesses and exhibitors posting more than sixty job offers. This year, we’re aiming even higher.
The VJF brings together all of the provincial and territorial organizations belonging to RDÉE Canada in order to provide a one-click link between Canadian employers looking for employees and qualified workers in Canada and around the world. Candidates participating in this event meet all the screening criteria for the “Mobilité francophone” program founded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to facilitate their hiring by Canadian businesses.
Organized in partnership with Recrutement et mobilité international Inc. (RIM), the job fair has two aspects:
- Offer Canadian employers a better opportunity to recruit the talents they need to fill vacant positions in their companies while taking advantage of the “Mobilité francophone” program;
- Offer Francophone and bilingual job seekers a chance to explore a range of job offers that they can apply for.
“We are using technology to give Canadian employers additional options for finding the ideal candidate to fill vacancies in their businesses. With this innovation, RDÉE Canada’s aim is to make a greater contribution to the economic growth of Canadian businesses,” said Jean-Guy Bigeau, President and CEO of RDÉE Canada.
